Welcome to our 2025 activity report

As Chief Executive Officer of this research center, I am pleased to present the 2025 annual report, a document that includes the main achievements and progress made during a year that has given a new impulse to the consolidation of our scientific and technological model. Throughout this period, we have reinforced our commitment to excellence in applied research for sustainable development, strengthening our international leadership in engineering, water and the environment through a collaborative approach connecting science, society and industry.

During this year, we have continued to strengthen our capabilities in strategic areas, incorporating new lines such as ecohydraulics, which broaden our integrative vision of aquatic systems. We have also promoted cross-cutting work teams in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, reinforcing our capacity to address future challenges from a multidisciplinary approach.

Our activity has reached 230 projects developed in 25 countries, reflecting a solid international projection. This effort has resulted in a growth of more than 6 % in our budget and a 7 % increase in our human resources, consolidating an increasingly robust, diverse and prepared organization to face complex challenges.

IHCantabria continues to position itself as a benchmark in research and innovation, as a true knowledge producer and as a multi-connector center, capable of integrating the public and private spheres to generate sustainable and resilient solutions.
